Hi everybody, welcome to my blog!
"Sura" is a culture hero of the Hmar tribe. The narration of Hmar folktales would be incomplete without the mention of Sura whose exploits are a great paradox indeed that makes the stories both are challenging and endearing. While he may be considered the silliest of simpletons, he’s also the wittiest of all. His exploits speak of love, affection, betrayal, forgiveness and reconciliation.
Enjoy reading my posts and I do hope you have no regrets afterward.
love the "traditional" scarf complimenting the "non-traditional" jacket;) n ow, the could be "traditional/non-traditional"tattoo... besides the material details, the eye contact with the cameraman is deep. nicely captured!
Actually, the tattoo is one aspect I want to explore further. Tattooing has become quite a popular trend among the Mizos and makes me wonder whether this can have a deeper cultural implication (?)among the youths...
